This blog is about my garden and the outdoors. I am new to photography but I am trying to show some of the pretty things that grow here in Michigan. I love the wild things who visit me and I dont mind if they eat a bit here and there. I like it more if they let me take their picture. As time goes on I think I will try to show you around the beautiful area that I live in as well as my garden. I try to use my own pictures as much as possible but will also use pictures from the web. If I inadvertently use your photo or work without permission please email me and I will remove it or give credit if you prefer. I will give credit when I know who the owner is. I would ask that anyone using my pictures do the same.

Mid February......

Its time to at least begin to think of Spring. We have had some lovely sunny days with blue skys.

Today winter came back though and its cold and blustery. Snow is covering the garden again where yesterday it was almost gone.

The squirrels are looking frosty today but it does not stop them from filling their fat little bellies. Yesterday I hardly saw any birds at the feeder but today they are coming in again, all fluffed up and cute.
Its time to take stock of your garden tools. Get them all cleaned up and handy. Time to sort the garden shed too

At least that's what I was thinking yesterday. Today my daughter came in and said the roads are terrible and its back to winter for several days ahead. So I will wait. I opened the door to let her leave and about got blown over, its freezing out there. Roll on Spring

Hi Janice, Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving nice comments. I'm sorry you have winter weather. We're supposed to get cold tonight, but I can't really complain because we've had a very mild winter so far. Just looking at the black squirrel. I don't think I've ever seen one "in person". Take care and have a great weekend,
Babs
PS Have you been watching Downton Abbey?

Lovely blog and great photos.

I hope that the weather gets better for you soon.

We have had no snow here in Ireland this year and I am crossing everything that we don't get a big dollop of it at this stage!!!

The black squirrel is cute!
