This blog is about my garden and the outdoors. I am new to photography but I am trying to show some of the pretty things that grow here in Michigan. I love the wild things who visit me and I dont mind if they eat a bit here and there. I like it more if they let me take their picture. As time goes on I think I will try to show you around the beautiful area that I live in as well as my garden. I try to use my own pictures as much as possible but will also use pictures from the web. If I inadvertently use your photo or work without permission please email me and I will remove it or give credit if you prefer. I will give credit when I know who the owner is. I would ask that anyone using my pictures do the same.

After the rain.................

I do so love to wander around the garden after the rain stops. I am so thankful for it. It's amazing how quickly everything grows after rain. Its not like using the hose. There is just something in the rain that nurtures.

Some new plants to watch and see if they thrive. I put this in (above) with the Lupine, now to see if they too will survive. I have never had a lot of luck with them. Probably too much shade. I did begin to trim the apple tree but needed Gerry to get a bigger branch, he of course didn't do it. I put in some daisies too.

There is just not enough sunlight anymore in my garden but I keep trying different spots. Maybe these will thrive? The Iris are starting to flower. The ones across the alley that are in full sun have come and gone. Mine just beginning.

Then there are the Poppies, they have taken a better hold this year. They are just budding but I love the rain drops on them.

It was good to have a rain day, I had stuff to do inside and I am loath to get it done when I can be in the garden.
