The other pretty visitor today

The Red Bellied Woodpecker. No idea why its called that? I do not see a red belly only a red head. He is becoming a regular visitor. There were two small woodpeckers this morning but I didn't get pictures because the dogs were outside at the time.

Stunning pictures! Love them ;o)
I just love it when all the blogs start showing their little bird visitors after Christmas! How pretty to see the birds with the snow coming down around them. I very much enjoyed your mosaics!
Great photos and the Cardinal especially is very pretty with the snow all round.
Great photos, perfect for WBW!

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW - Stewart M - Melbourne
Great shots of the of the Cardinal and Redbellied. I have seen their redbellies, usually seen while they are in flight. Thanks for sharing, great post.
Great shots of the birds against the snow! They sure stand out against that background don't they?
Great winter bird images and oh I do know what you mean...those pesky Squirrels, but since they do not hibernate...they will thieve all winter, all seasons;')~
