My Garden Journal: Squirrels Christmas Dinner.............

This blog is about my garden and the outdoors. I am new to photography but I am trying to show some of the pretty things that grow here in Michigan. I love the wild things who visit me and I dont mind if they eat a bit here and there. I like it more if they let me take their picture. As time goes on I think I will try to show you around the beautiful area that I live in as well as my garden. I try to use my own pictures as much as possible but will also use pictures from the web. If I inadvertently use your photo or work without permission please email me and I will remove it or give credit if you prefer. I will give credit when I know who the owner is. I would ask that anyone using my pictures do the same.

Squirrels Christmas Dinner.............

We have had several squirrels come in to feed. They do not like to share apparently. This little black one is here every day and stays most of the day. The grey one was fed up with having left overs I think because he chased the black one off. Then they began ariel antics chasing up and down the tree around and around until they got tired. Not sure if they were fighting or courting by this time but here are a few pictures of the activity.

Found this guy in Paradise, ready to become a chrysalis he was looking for a place to hide

This one was still eating and not at all ready to make the big change. So pretty.

What is a weed? I love danylions. They are not much different than mums and you can eat their leaves. They are so bright in the Spring. They are welcome in my garden. I pull them when they are done.
