Dog days...........

after a cold Spring it has turned into a hot summer. Mid July and in the 90s. Too much for me, the garden is suffering. I can't keep up with the weeding. Its actually not so much weeds as the over zealous plants that spread. I have to thin out again. It's just too hot for me. I already got sunburn and I never burn. I am actually peeling.
So the garden is looking sad right now......a few pictures from the last couple of days.






One good thing the roses are doing well.







I wish flowers would bloom longer. Today was down in the 60s but I was so tired from lack of sleep due to heat, I didn't get outside. I am almost afraid to go out these days, back in the 90s again tomorrow.
The Day lillies are starting to bloom.


Lots of things blooming but its just such a mess





I bought some ornaments and have put several other things out. Gerry is working on the porch so the side garden is a no go for this year unless I catch up in the Fall.





Well I guess that's it for now. Gardening is on the back burner, just hope we all survive the heat. Cold I can deal with, heat I can't........
